Core Philosophy

Core Elements of Buddhism

Buddhism is one of the world's oldest and major spiritual paths. It primarily includes the core concepts of Four Noble Truths, Eightfold Path, Karma, and Nirvana.

Four Noble Truths

Buddha taught four core truths: 1) There is suffering, 2) Suffering has a cause (craving), 3) Suffering can end, and 4) There is a path leading to the end of suffering.

Karma Theory

Actions and intentions hold paramount value in Buddhism. A person's wholesome or unwholesome deeds completely shape their future existence and spiritual path.

Concept of Nirvana

Nirvana is the ultimate spiritual goal—the cessation of craving, ignorance, and egoistic delusion, bringing eternal peace and liberation from cycles of rebirth.

The Middle Path

Buddha advised avoiding the extremes of sensual self-indulgence and severe self-mortification, choosing a balanced 'Middle Way' instead.

Five Precepts

Five fundamental ethical guidelines: Refraining from harming living beings, stealing, sexual misconduct, false speech, and consuming intoxicants.

Compassion & Wisdom

Karuna (universal compassion) and Pragya (transcendental wisdom) are the twin pillars upon which the entire practice of Buddhism rests.
